So, previously I posted a video of Ada and Emmet playing so nicely together. I thought I'd balance that out with a little clip of a day when things weren't going so smoothly. Normally I'd intervene sooner than I did in this video but I wanted to catch all of the gory details. This video was actually taken in the spring. Emmet wanted to play with his truck on the table and Ada wanted to color at the table.

Sprinkler Fun
I have fond memories of playing in the sprinkler when I was a child so it's been fun to watch Ada and Emmet get acquainted with it. These pictures are from their first encounter. They have since taken quite a liking to it and squeal with delight while playing in it.
Our new sandbox
Nana was terribly generous and bought us a sandbox for the backyard. Ada and Emmet both love playing in it, especially when Pops comes over to make roads and sand mountains for the trucks and tractors to drive on.

Greg & Gina are home!!!
Greg and Gina have moved back to Wisconsin! They enjoyed their year in Colorado but missed family and friends so decided to come back! Gina got a great job with the Middleton Cross Plains School District and Greg is returning to school himself with hopes of becoming a teacher....crazy! Ada and Emmet were very excited to get to see "Greg's Big Truck" when he arrived. We're so glad they're home!

I'm sure I had a story or two to go along with these pictures way back when they were taken but they're trapped in my brain now. The first picture is of Ada talking on the phone with Nana (she LOVES to do this) while vacuuming. The other two are of both Ada and Emmet trying to look like mommy! So cute!
Dress-Up
Ada and Emmet LOVE clomping around the house in my boots. It's LOUD.
This day they were trying on different things. Emmet found his old winter hat...doesn't he look like a skater dude? Ada was trying on her new swimming suit.
Mother's Day
I had a nice Mother's Day again this year. Roger let me sleep in for a little bit in the morning, which NEVER happens so that was very nice. I spent the majority of the afternoon shopping with my mom/Nana. We had a really nice time just being together just the two of us!
Emmet's braces
Emmet began wearing his braces in late March. I was so nervous about whether or not he'd hate wearing them etc. He took to them right away as they offered him the support he needed to be more stable. We saw an immediate difference in his stamina and stability. He's made some great progress so far this summer as well in his core strength and stability. I'm so proud!
First haircuts
After watching Emmet brush his hair out of his face a gazillion times we decided it was time for a haircut. We decided just to trim both of their hair. We're not ready to get rid of Emmet's curls and length just yet. Both Ada and Emmet did GREAT! No crying or whining, I was so suprised.
Ada the artist
Ada just loves to paint. She'll spend a good 20-30 minutes in her highchair painting!

What seems like forever ago....on March 20th Ada and Emmet turned two years old. I cannot believe it! They enjoyed there birthday, especially the presents and the cake - that's the best part, right?
