 T-BALL

 We signed Emmet up for T-Ball this summer.  We purposefully wanted the kids to do something separate from eachother this summer.  Emmet was really excited to play but really needed the reassurance of Daddy or Mommy with him.  It took him a good 20 minutes to get comfortable and then of course, would start to come out of his shell towards the end of the practice or game.

We had the pleasure of having Sophie and Diego spend an afternoon/evening with us.  The kids all had a BLAST and were utterly exhausted by the end of the night.

We spent a lot of time this summer riding our bikes on the trail across from our subdivision.

June 2010

June was a fun and busy month!  One of the best months of the year - school's out!!!  I had my babes all to myself this summer!

DOOR COUNTY VACATION

Thanks to Nana & Pops we were able to spend a whole week in Door County, one of Roger and my favorite places in the whole world.  Well...that may be a bit of an overstatement - neither one of us has traveled very far.  Anyway...Roger and I hadn't been to DC since I was pregnant with the twins and we have been anxiously awaiting the day that we could take another trip to experience with our kiddos! Pics by Pops!  We all had a blast!  The week was filled with just the right amount of adventure and relaxation.  Emmet & Ada continue to ask to go back to Door County.  In fact, Emmet was just begging and whining about it today :)

Little Mr. Perfectionist really enjoyed this.  He had a vision of EXACTLY his truck should look like so he insisted that Daddy help get it just right.

Roger & I took an afternoon, just the two of us, to do some mountain biking.  It had been a loooong time since I'd done this but I was proud of myself that day.  We ended up having to ride through some wetlands - water up past my calves, deer in the woods and up close.  It was great to spend time alone doing something that we used to do...pre kids.
